Steampunk oculus first attempt

Since I'm a glasswearer and contacts don't agree with me. They make my eye's itch. I decided on a steampunking some wielding-goggles. Which ended up looking something like this.

However my girlfriend wanted a single monocle/oculus. Which my brother and I then had to create from scratch. I first went out and search on the internet for someking of blueprint on which parts we needed.
This is the blueprint we used.

We then created the various parts like the blueprint suggested.

After my brother and I constructed this contraption, my girlfriend then could add some leather details e.g. a strap.
